I can not say enough about avoiding this program at all cost. We were lied to in the admission process. We had no communication with her team. We were told their was family therapy, and they didn't have a family therapist with ED experience on staff. They brought one in the second month, after we complained, and during a session, she called our daughter they wrong name...she didn't even know her name. Thier family week end, is bascially an ad, to get you to come their for a stay to fix your problem. During family week end everything was about drug and alcohol addiciton, didn't have one session on ED. The setting is beautiful, rural Tennessee on a real ranch. Patients create their own grocery list and cook their own meals in a house. Very real life, but that is where it ends. They are good on AODA, but they think every person is an addict and convince them they have a drinking problem vs an ED. They will tell parents whatever they want to hear to get you to admit, but none of it happens. They told us they were a PHP program, and they are RTC. They were not able to get insurance to cover any of stay. They filed an appeal without our permission, then we could not file one, since all appeals had been denied. Their record keeping is so bad, attorneys could not file an appeal or lawsuit because they had no information. When our second month was up, we asked if she was ready for discharge, they said its up to you, if you pay for another month she can stay, if not she can leave. She felt she wasn't ready, they said she is ready. We discharged her to a PHP level,(that we found) and they kept her in RTC for 3 weeks, because she was more unstable at discharge than when she was admitted. I would never recommend this palce to anyone with an ED.
