Our daughter did very well there, we would all say, they saved her life. Staff was knoweledgable, and unlike so many others, kept family members informed of progress, whether progress was made or not made. Treated all co occuring illness with respect and a very caring staff. Only downside was they are not good at fighting insurance so we had to pay for majority of care. Also discharge planning was not great and family wishes or finanacial means are not considered at all. Basically had to find our own aftercare.
So much compassion is shown by all staff. The programming is great to help learn more about yourself, your struggle, and your coping skills to replace behaviors. The facility and location is beautiful and welcoming. The rules are strict, but very much necessary to make the facility a safe place. I would go back to TK in a heartbeat if insurance would pay. I recommend it to everyone, but insurance is a problem for many. The only fault at Timberline Knolls is the financial/insurance.
